Winter Snow

There is no one who loves snow more than me! The energy created in anticipation of a snowstorm is so exciting! Every news station has a different estimated amount of snow and I look at all of them, switching back and forth. Watching the snow–large flakes, small flakes, mixed precipitation reminds me that each snowflake is different and special. What really strikes me is in the beginning (and end) of the movie “The Grinch”, it is snowing. The view of each flake gets closer and closer, until finally in a microscopic flake is Whoville. Here we are on planet earth, a speck in the universe. I find it mind-boggling!

Snow is special to me because the glistening of the fallen snow reminds me of my childhood. It brings back happy memories of making snow angels, snowmen, snow forts, ice slides, ice sculptures and skiing through narrow trails. I have made several snowflake cards using different techniques. I thought I would share a few.
